Introducing WMC 4.1 – Enhanced Security, Advanced UI, and Simplified Management

06.03.2025

We’re excited to introduce Web Management Console (WMC) version 4.1 (4.1.0.164), our most substantial update to date. This release brings major security improvements, a refreshed user interface, and new features designed to simplify the management of ZeeOS endpoints.

What’s New in WMC 4.1:

Secure SSL Remote Connections: All remote sessions are now encrypted with SSL by default. This ensures secure and private communication between your management console and endpoints.

Major UI Overhaul and Bug Fixes: We’ve redesigned key parts of the interface to improve navigation, readability, and responsiveness. The update also includes numerous bug fixes that enhance overall stability.

Local User Account Support: WMC no longer requires Active Directory integration. You can now manage local user accounts, making deployments faster and more flexible. This is especially useful in environments without centralized authentication.

Streamlined Component Naming: We’ve renamed and standardized several elements within the console for better clarity. ZeeTerm hardware is now called ZeeTim endpoints, ZeeTransformer is now ZeeOS, ZeeConf Web Management Console and ZeeConf Server are now simply Web Management Console, and ZeeConf Gateway is now Gateway.

Simplified Testing and Evaluation: You can now test ZeeOS and WMC without a license for deployments with fewer than 3 devices. This makes it easier to evaluate our solution almost immediately.

If you’re already using our products, WMC 4.1 is available to you now.
